5a05 is a type of aluminum alloy that belongs to the Al Mg series. Unlike other alloys in this series, it cannot be strengthened through heat treatment. It contains a higher amount of magnesium and has lower strength, similar to the 5A03 alloy. When these alloys undergo cold deformation, their strength increases but their plasticity decreases. In its annealed state, 5a05 has relatively high plasticity, while in the semi cold worked hardened state, it still maintains an acceptable level of plasticity.
